Thank you!

Thank you for entering my 12th annual NCAA men’s pool! Your picks have been submitted.

Please check my blog often during the tournament for updates on the pool.

Once the tournament starts, I will post a PDF file containing everyone’s brackets. If you need a copy of your bracket sooner than that, e-mail me at bloy[at]nd.edu and I’ll get you one as soon as I can.

Hey, I just got my confirmation email, but one of my picks was blacked out and two were whited out, as if I didn’t make the picks for those games. Is there any way you can confirm that picks were made for those games–I don’t think I forgot to pick three.

BK, as I just e-mailed you, the problem is with the conversion of your picks into an HTML table in the e-mail… there’s some sort of bug in the script there. But your picks themselves are all there in numerical form, and the pool software will be able to read them fine. Sorry for the confusion.

However well I do, this will be a come-down from last year. Brendan, you have your “Things to do before I die” list. Don’t know if you’ve done it, don’t know if you will. BUT: being in Vegas during the first two days of March Madness is an experience not to be missed. Last year (and I had my plane ticket and room comped by a publisher, extra sweet) the lines at the sports books extended to the lobbies, but were worth it, just for the BS you could talk while you waited. I had a mere five bucks riding on each game, but it added so much, and the multiple screens didn’t hurt.

    Anyway, good luck, everyone.
