Becky's flight has landed. I'm waiting for her at the airport. Oh, and I'm wearing my Matt Leinart jersey in celebration of the signing of the newest Arizona Cardinal. :)

The girls are in the middle of arguably America’s boringest state, Kansas. They just passed through Abilene, and are en route to Russell, where — as I predicted — they will be stopping for the night. But will they get a picture of the water tower?

Becky, Kristy and Vikki have stopped for the night in Terre Haute, Indiana — where, it seems, K and V are making friends at IHOP. Heh.

Anyway, thanks to the free Wi-Fi at their motel, I can share with you these pictures, which Becky sent me via e-mail, of 7-months-pregnant Shannon and her (rather large) baby bump!

Those were taken last night in Buffalo. Here’s a pair taken this morning, also in Buffalo, of Vikki and Kristy loading up their Penske for the move to Denver:

They made it 576 miles today; they’ve got 1,008 miles to go to Denver. Hey — Bob Dole’s hometown of Russell, Kansas would make a perfect stopping point for tomorrow night! :)

Anyway, they’re travelling in three separate vehicles — Kristy’s car, Vikki’s car, and the Penske — which explains the relative dearth of cell-phone photo posts while on the road; notwithstanding Kristy’s efforts, blogging-while-driving is not generally recommended. :)

P.S. by Brendan: For my new readers (11,088 hits and counting today!) who don’t know what the heck this is about, click here for an explanation. Basically, my wife Becky is helping her friends Kristy and Vikki move to Denver. Their road trip begins tomorrow, and they’ll be liveblogging via cell phone.

Becky is airborne right now, on United flight 1604, scheduled to land at O’Hare within the hour. From there, she takes a connecting flight, United 1214, to Manchester, New Hampshire, where she’ll meet up with Kristy and get ready to leave on a road trip tomorrow. Y’see, Kristy and Vikki (who they’ll be picking up in Buffalo) are moving to Denver, and Becky is coming along for the ride, to help them move and have a, um, girls’ week out. :)

Becky is scheduled to fly back to Phoenix from Denver on Monday night, and then we’ll get ready for our move — back to South Bend for my final year of law school. Our likely departure date is next Wednesday. So, Becky’s going to be doing a lot of cross-country traveling in the next 10 days or so!

Anyway, stay tuned for blog posts from the road by Becky and Kristy. They both have the ability to photoblog and audioblog via their cell phones, so hopefully they’ll grace us with some updates on their road trip. That way I can live vicariously through them while I frantically try to finish up all my projects before my summer associateship at “the Cave” ends on Friday…
