The Union Leader, New Hampshire’s statewide newssource, has a link to a fantastic article on the first page. Can you figure out which one it is??

Okay, if not, here’s a hint: it links to this story.

UPDATE BY BRENDAN: In keeping with the tried-and-true rule of online journalism that people are more likely to click on a link if it has a picture of a hot babe associated with it…

:)

Same old stuff

So, everybody seems to be all a-twitter over this USA Today expose. Have I lost my inner patriot if I don’t care, feel unaffected, don’t mind if the NSA looks at my incoming and outgoing calls, and think this is a ploy by USA Today to get some good p.r.? I mean, granted, by posting this I guess I helped them accomplish that goal. But I feel like this is not as big a deal as they want it to be, nor do I feel like my consitutional rights are being violated, nor do I feel like this is “breaking news.” Yawn. Discuss…

Put your pants on, we’re moving to the city

Today’s New York Times Online lead off with a totally fascinating article on an Amazon tribe that, all of a sudden, just decided to join the ranks of modern civlization. Excerpt:

The Nukak have no concept of money, of property, of the role of government, or even of the existence of a country called Colombia. They ask whether the planes that fly overhead are moving on some sort of invisible road.

If I had money, I’d be buying the film rights to that story. However, I have a feeling someone else beat me to that by now anyways.

This guy is dumb

I had been watching previews for this stunt for weeks. Apparently, this man is not too bright. And he didn’t even set a new record!
