Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be split into two movies. Part I will be released in November 2010, Part II in May 2011. David Yates will direct both. (Hat tip: Andrew H.) [Bumped. -ed.]
All I can say is, I seriously cannot wait for the climactic Battle of Hogwarts scene. It’ll be, for me personally, the most-anticipated cinematic event since the Mount Doom scene in Return of the King. :)

Given the length of the Battle of Hogwarts, I’m thinking that it will comprise most (if not all) of movie 8.
To say nothing of his Resurrection

Yeah, the word “scene” isn’t really right. Mount Doom isn’t, strictly speaking, a single “scene” either. And the Battle of Hogwarts will be even longer. But however long it is, I’ll be looking forward to it a lot. Most of all the moment involving Neville and a certain serpent.

Oh, and Molly Weasley’s, er, memorable line.
(They’d better freaking put that line in the movie, that’s all I have to say about that.)

So when do you think they’ll cut it off? I think the best place would probably be when Ron leaves, but I’m not sure if there’s enough before that, and there’s too much after that. But I can’t think of a better dividing point.

Basically a no-brainer: Can we find another movie that will generate $350 million? I think it’ll be split like Star Wars 2 and 3 (the original 2/3): Attack of bad magic and Harry’s revenge.

Any word on a name for movie 7 or movie 8? HP and the Deathly Hallows 1 and 2?
