My favorite was the reference to those poor, poor people who got “sucked into a subprime mortgage.” I used to work in a building that had a bank on the ground floor — those giant vacuum tubes were indeed quite difficult to dodge.
Also, she’s going to raise the minimum wage to $9.50/hour so that anyone who wants to work can lift themselves out of poverty . . .
. . . until the bean-counting eggheads redefine poverty, of course, since there’s always a bottom quartile (or wherever the line is drawn these days).
But hey — she knows how to fix the economy, right?
P.S. I noticed in Obama’s speech that he was referring to the “Bush-McCain” tax cuts, the “Bush-McCain” war, etc. I love it when politicians do that, tying the guy they’re trying to attack with someone unpopular or controversial… “Dole-Gingrich,” “Kerry-Kennedy,” “Donnelly-Pelosi,” etc. I wonder if we’re going to start hearing the phrase “Bush-Cheney-McCain”? If you’re trying to smear McCain with guilt-by-association with the current administration, it seems a shame to leave ol’ trigger-happy Dick out of the picture. After all, his approval ratings are, like, negative numbers at this point, aren’t they?

Hillary just called Obama lazy. That is so racist.
Ok, she just said that you have to work really really hard for change and can’t just hope for it. But still. Racist!
Then she spouted about 50 socialist promises.
This is great.

“Aren’t you tired of paying those exorbitant prices at the gas pump ?”

“They’ve had their chance. They have not led. We will.”?
