The 8 pm NHC advisory reports that Felix is now a Category 5. Not unexpected, but it sure happened fast.

I’ve never seen a NOAA probability table with nothing but NA. I think that means they’ve never seen a storm similar enough to this before to make any predictions about it.

At least it’s moving at a respectable speed, so it’s not going to sit and pound one area for days. And it’s wind area is small.
But this one’s creeping me out. I can’t put my finger on it, it’s just wrong.
God help anyone near the eyewall. Reinforced concrete won’t take those wind speeds.
