The worst of the LA smog is actually a hundred miles inland, where the prevailing winds blow the smog up against the mountains. Meanwhile, air quality is worse in agricultural regions than along the coast(see: Central Valley, CA), and the air quality over the much more heavily populated northeastern U.S. is hardly much better than what we have in So Cal. So, Briandot, when you have a chance, maybe you’d like to emerge briefly from your own smug cloud and observe the facts and data.
