He is taking the thing on a computer and I’m sure he can charm his way to a free pencil from some unsuspecting fellow bar examinee. I think they do the essays today anyway. But they just look so lonesome and forlorn, all sharpened with that nice, empty sharpener waiting for them. Poor Brendan! I’m sure he’ll realize they’re missing about five minutes before the exam starts.
Most of these tests are on computer now. Not sure how the Bar Exam works, but I know for other types of exams like this the computer shuts off early if you a) did really well or b) did really badly.
Don’t worry today is the essay day, and at least last year when I took it in Colorado they had some extra pencils and pens floating around in case he wanted to make outlines in the book or something. But make sure he takes them with him tomorrow for the multiple choice!

Sounds like the guy has a lot on his mind.

The bar exam is not completed in the graphite etchings of No. 2 pencils. The bar exam requires drops of A, B, AB or O.

Brendan Loy doesn’t use pencils. He can wittle wood from desks and chair backs to make his own when he gets there, much like Vin Diesel.
