WordPress on the iPhone

I’m typing this via the regular WP interface, accessed via Safari on the iPhone. Seems to work fine. The typing does take some getting used to, but I have gotten significantly better in my maybe 20 minutes of use. Hard to type really fast, though, and probably impossible to do no-look typing. Still, a very cool device. People here seem overwhelmingly impressed — blown away, even.

Steve Wozniak showed up on his Segway to wait in line at the Apple store at Santa Clara’s Valley Fair Mall. He was given first place in line by everyone waiting.

I showed up at the Walnut Creek store on my Bianchi bike with croissants and espressos to share with those in line. I DID NOT get bumped up to the front of the line. I guess there are advantages to riding a Segway…;)

Engadget did a review with Woz (whom i’ve met, awesome guy) and he had pre-arranged with the Apple Store folks to help out with the line which is why he was given first spot. Of course there is no doubt he wouldn’t have been given first spot anyway, he’s The Woz!!

I’ve never met Steve Wozniak but I would like to in order to compare the experience with that I had over the years of meeting with Steve Jobs.

The first time I met Steve Jobs face-to-face was at a NeXT Computer press meeting. Only five people showed up and four of them didn’t get it (I’m not sure they even understood what a NeXT could do).

After the press meeting I walked up to Mr. Jobs and asked him a question that had to with charitable foundations. We talked for over an hour. I felt like I was talking to a human laser beam.
