It’s too bad that “agoodpresidentwhodoesnotgetyouinvolvedinaridiculouswarthatisbleedingyourcountrytodeatheconomicallyandethically” doesn’t fit.

  3. Anon Says:

Clinton could have ended Osama before he even began….but didn’t.

Seriously though, what was he thinking? He’s not naive. He knew what he was doing when he submitted that clue. Most wives would be annoyed if their adulterous husbands made such a joke in a New York Times crossword puzzle. Most wives. Not necessarily Hillary. Surely another embarrassment for the family, though.

    It’s a joke son….I say a joke………

    There’s a strong dose of hyper-intellectualism on these threads…

That is, if you understood what I was saying to mean only with regards to comments and NOT the number of smaller debates that may, from time to time, arise in the mind and need to be quelled. I wasn’t saying that all comments are inherently arguments either, just that, in my limited experience, they often transform into them.

It’s not homophobia to dislike male homoerotic behavior (if that makes any visual sense), but can’t we remember that CONTEXT MATTERS? Whether this is a once-in-a-lifetime event is irrelevant to this conversation, it’s instinctually obvious that Clinton’s clues are a joke! Anyways, it’s ridiculous that everyone else has made such a BIG deal about this. Anyways, I’m out. I’ll leave you guys to keep debating.

(And by the way, the homosexual comment was not meant to imply that they are more apt for this kind of conduct, just that the sacred grounds of Notre Dame are part of the larger context.)

Anyways, I’m out. I’ve got better things to do during finals week.

(That is, there is a divorce between the things I do in my life and the comments I make on this board. I do not consider myself to be better than anyone else on this thread, just pressed for time, which, I think is a reasonable argument, so stop unjustly hurling accusations at me).

    Anyways, I’m out.

Anon, so could both Bush’s and Reagan. I recall Mr. North in a Senate hearing declaring himself deathly afraid of Osama some time in the mid eighties.

Regardless, both guesses at 4 down are wrong. They don’t fit with any of the possible answers for 1 across and 19 across.
