I figured a picture of the Backer would be the parting shot..

So, who’s driving the moving truck, and when the heck are you guys getting here?

  3. Brendan Loy Says:

Heh, yeah, I thought about taking a picture of the Backer, but it wouldn’t have been a great shot from the angle we were at, and anyway Butter and Robbie were being all cute, so I decided to get a pic of them instead. Besides, you can see that Becky is wearing Tennessee orange, which I figured Jay would appreciate. :) We’re both dressed for the occasion, actually: her in the Tennessee t-shirt I bought her, and me in my Rocky Top shirt.

Anyway, we’re the lead car, Ted (Becky’s dad) is driving the Penske, and Ginny (Becky’s mom) is bringing up the rear in their Lexus.

Pointing out the lexus was totally necessary.

The Zaks drove from Phoenix?! Dang! Ah, I have fond memories of a similiar caravan. Only we were heading west, and there was no Lexus.
    Drive safe!

At least until you’ll be rooting for the Irish over the Trojans!

    So, never, then. :)

You know, I didn’t think about it as a status symbol, or whatever, when I mentioned it… I was just identifying the three vehicles, in response to a question about who’s driving what. We’ve got our car (I didn’t call it “the Camry,” cuz, y’know, it’s our car… we don’t call it “the Camry,” we just call it “the car”), the Penske and the Lexus. I had no intention of car-name-dropping in the sense that I think you’re suggesting. Anyway I don’t really get much of an ego boost from the fact that my in-laws have a nice car. If I had a Lexus, maybe. :)
