Er, Becky and I totally forgot to watch Idol last night, and as a result, I also forgot to put up a post asking people for their picks for who will be eliminated. But here it is. Cast your votes in comments! Deadline is 9:00 PM.
Incidentally, starting soon, maybe next week, I’m going to devise a new system (other than public voting in comments) for the Idol pool, because otherwise we are going to get into some serious problems with strategic voting and vote-timing once the field of contestants gets small enough. But more on that later.

I think Phil is gone, though I don’t think his performance last night was that bad. I also think Sanjaya jumped the shark last night by not doing something bizarre or outrageous with his hair/performance (yeah, the Paula dance didn’t reach the heights of the pony-hawk or the crying girl). I think the bottom three will be Phil, Haley and Sanjaya. I think Sanjaya will probably be gone in two weeks, unless he returns to his surreal form.
Again the judges gush over Jordin, while i felt she was slightly above Meh…

BTW, Marty, what is your obsession with Phil and Sloth? Have you actually looked at pictures of the two? They look nothing at all alike other than both being bald.
Vicki, to answer your question, you’re not quite in last place yet. One of the two people who was behind you, Toni, got last week’s choice right, so she moves up. That leaves Kevin Hauschulz as the only person behind you. But you’re also tied with Scott Fort and David K. :) I’m about to post the updated standings.
Again, I’m torn this week between Haley and Phil. I can’t even rationalize like I did last week, other than to say that I think Haley’s leggy tactic has worn thin. Having Simon call her out on it surely won’t help. And, Phil saying that he was singing to his wife, yet sounding so lifeless leaves me extremely confused as to which will say goodbye tonight. We could always hope that Sanjaya’s attempt at showing us that he can sing could actually get him kicked off, but that’s doubtful. So, I’ll flip a coin…okay, heads for Phil since he’s bald…and…it’s heads! I guess that means that Phil is my pick for tonight. (Though I was secretly hoping for tails!) :)
