“I feel like I’ve been hit over the head with a brick. … [pause] … It’s a wonderful paper.”
–Becky, after proofreading/revising/tearing apart my term paper on “human shields” and just-war theory.
Heh. I hope she was easier on you than I was! :-)
Most likely harsher than me, though, as all I was supposed to do was the journalistic edit.
Brendan - once your paper is submitted and graded, do interested and curious mere mortals get a chance to see it ?
Hey Mike, I was amused today to learn I will have a new coworker named Mike Wise. I don’t know much about him yet, but I’m pretty confident I can beat him in a debate about evolution. ;-)
He’d be a good starting point for that sort of thing. My last name implies that I’m a higher order competitor in that regard. ;)
Better quote, yet. As I was walking around midtown pondering on a debate I had had with a close friend:
“I should have told him not to pull an O’Reilly on me.”
In reference to O’Reilly interrupting guests at his show with nonsense blah blah blah to mask the true nature of a debate.
Just better hope you never meet Mike Wisest
unrelated, but I thought you might be interested in the news about Ave Maria Law, see the page for details - http://www.mirrorofjustice.com/mirrorofjustice/2007/04/crisis_at_ave_m.html
