Shirt’s too rocky by far
Posted by on Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at 2:39 pm

This morning I put on my Rocky Top t-shirt without even thinking about the fact that the one University of Tennessee team I'm barred from liking due to my Connecticut roots, the Lady Vols, are playing for the national title tonight. Oops! Go Rutgers! :)

UPDATE, 9:33 PM: I’m exhausted, and so am going to bed now, with Tennessee leading Rutgers 29-18 at halftime. Final tournament and pool updates will have to wait till morning. Just a reminder about the scenarios: if Rutgers wins, Josh Krause wins the pool; if Tennessee wins, Scott Fort wins.

    Teehee.

Dammit, I’ll laugh at my punny headline, even if no one else will.

You should be sent a scarlet letter by “The K-nights That Say K-nicht”

Well, it must have been the shirt, right?

Brendan, I hadn’t been following your blog too closely this year, but on a whim today I decided to see where you were heading post law school and got a little bit excited when I realized you were heading to Knoxville. As it turns out, you may want to slightly soften your stance against the Lady Vols as they have a Zag/Spokane connection now in incoming freshman and First Team Parade All-American Angie Bjorklund. Older sister Jamie plays for Gonzaga and though a fine player she’s not an elite talent like Angie. This season Angie broke numerous Spokane area high school scoring records, had a career point total of 1,990 to Adam Morrison’s 1,904 and led her team to a 2nd place 4A state tournament finish. She’s definitely going to be a fun player to watch in college.

Congratulations on graduating and the new job. I expect I’ll be tuning in more regularly again, especially during football and basketball season!
