Cincinnati defeated Western Michigan in the inaugural International Bowl today, 27-24, completing a perfect bowl season for the Big East and eliminating Brad Miller and Bill Reising from contention in the 2nd annual Irish Trojan bowl pick ‘em contest.
The Bearcats’ victory greatly simplifies the scenarios for who will win the contest. Tiebreakers are no longer relevant. If Ohio State wins the championship, Kevin Hauschulz will win. If Florida wins the championship, either Brandon Minich or Ben Sloniker will win — Minich if Ohio beats Southern Miss tomorrow, Sloniker if Southern Miss wins.
