Also, if you start driking one venti a day from age 20 to age 60, you will have spent $26,572…all that money should be better off invested into our retirement plan. So, a venti is not necessarily a “basic human right.”
…but it beckons me daily with its siren song of tasty alertness.”
I once read an article from a finacial newsletter about a couple who spent about 2k on an espresso machine. The logic of the writer was that he liked Starbats because it gave him the opportunity to interact with other people and exchange ideas, thus pursuing new opportunities by means of social interaction. Sounds logical and that is my demeanor as well. But, Starbats is just draining the pockets of the young addicted scholar who needs to stay up to blog and then keep up with their law curriculae. Just saying. I’ll start making my own coffee at home and taking it to SB for milk and sugar and then I’ll both save and interact. Sweet!
26,000+, wow that is a ton of money when you write it out like that. especially on something that goes back where it came from an hour later so we really are just pissing money away like our parents told us..lol
Does this mean that third world countries are violating human rights because they dont have Starbucks available in those countries?”
Well, no. they have better coffee and it’s fresh since its grown there and doesn’t have to be shipped across miles. A basic human right? No. A basic human need? Hardly

Sound logic, boys. I try to avoid Starbucks, but it beckons me daily with its siren song of tasty alertness.
Addiction is a terrible thing.

Into “our” retirement plan? This sounds vaguely communistic. What are you, a Berkeley student? :)

rephrasing to appease IT’s intellect:
“…all that money should be betterrrrr off invested into one’s rrrrrrretirement plan.”

I suggest switching to tea… works well, better for you, and way cheeper than buying coffee from the Bucks.

They’ll get my Starbucks when they pry it from my cold dead hands.

Roger, I’m not sure if you gathered this or not, but the quote in question was a joke.

(Admittedly, a joke deliberately presented without regard to context.)
