Uh oh….Apple’s first mis-step in a while, isn’t it? I know they didn’t make the batteries, but they don’t do this often.

  2. David K. Says:

umm apparently you missed the part where Dell laptops with these (or similar) batteries have been exploding? I’d hardly call it a misstep by apple (or Dell) but a major MAJOR misstep by Sony.

Whoa, easy man. I’m a Mac user, not a hater. I’m just saying it’s been a long time since anything negative has been in the news about Apple.

  4. Strabo Says:

It will hurt Sony for thier crappy batteries, millions of them one would guess.

  5. dcl Says:

I just want to figure out if my batteries are effected but the apple support site seems to be slammed.

  6. Anonymous Says:

    Whoa, easy man.

    Not in David’s vocabulary.

  7. Strabo Says:

When i checked the battery in my Dell last week it said it wasnt part of the recall, yea sure its not, even tho it had the serial #’s that told me to check it anyways, i think they BS the whole deal anyways.

  8. David K. Says:

Sorry perhaps i over-reacted but honestly, the last time something bad has been in the news about apple? Its a constant thing actually, from the filling inconsistencies, to the Creative lawsuit, to what Steve Jobs is wearing. The press and bloggers in particular love to point out anything and everything they can about Apple. My favorite was the one a few weeks back aobout how Apple laptops had a huge security hole, which was actually a hole in the non-Apple wireless adapter.

Anonymous, do you enjoy being a nameless coward? Got something to say why don’t you come out and say it, or is it too hard for you to put two sentences together in a decent argument?

  9. Melanie Dickson Says:

Apple had a lot of negative press in the Aussie papers a a week or so ago over the working conditions for employees making the iPods.
