My new Gonzaga sweatshirt, ordered from eBay, arrived in the mail today.
Woohoo!
Come to think of it, between the sweatshirt, the USC banner at right (not to mention the autographed Reggie Bush picture at top left — Patrick’s awesome wedding gift to Becky and me) and the Notre Dame license plate thingy at bottom right, my three favorite schools (sorry, UConn) are all represented in this photo! (For the uninitiated, here’s a work-in-progress Bloypedia post explaining why I like Gonzaga.)

Hornung, care to back up the insult with some facts, or at least some legitimate argumentation? I’ve been a Gonzaga fan since 1995, four years before they won their first NCAA Tournament game. As my Bloypedia entry says, “I jumped on the Gonzaga bandwagon before it even existed, and I ain’t getting off now!”

P.S. No offense to Jay, who went to Duke and thus can’t be faulted for his allegiance :), but if I were really just a bandwagon fan, wouldn’t I be rooting for Duke? Or, for that matter, wouldn’t I still be rooting for UConn, my home-state team and favorite throughout the 1990s, which has now been surpassed on my favorite teams list by USC and Notre Dame (my schools) and Gonzaga (for the reasons outline on the Bloypedia page)? I mean really — UConn is better than ANY of those teams, so if I was just a bandwagon fan, you’d think I’d be rooting for the Huskies to win it all… and maybe wearing a Duke hat to go with my UConn shirt, just to cover my bases. :)
