New York Times journalist murdered in DC

New York Times journalist David Rosenbaum, who had worked for the Gray Lady for over 30 years, was beaten and robbed Friday night in Northwest Washington, DC. He died tonight from his injuries. He was 63.

    Normally I do my best to feel compassion for my fellow man, but since this gentleman spent 30 years as part of a crusade to make sure that only criminals are armed, and that we do our best not to keep them in jail, well…

    I still feel compassion for his family.

    The guy had a head injury. There is no indication the mugger was armed. Besides, I don’t know if the guy ever advocated one way or the other regarding gun control. I guess if an editor for the New York Post had been killed I could say that he was part of a crusade to make sure EVERYONE was armed.
