Kick up a rumpus
Posted by on Thursday, December 29, 2005 at 11:59 pm

I’m gettin’ married in the morning afternoon!
Ding dong! The bells are gonna chime sun is gonna shine!
Pull out the stopper!
Let’s have a whopper!
But get me to the church tent on time!

:)

P.S. I just wrote the following in an e-mail to the DJ:

One thing occurred to me today. If anyone requests “God Bless Texas” or any other song that similarly glorifies Texas, please don’t play it. With USC getting ready to play Texas in the Rose Bowl, there shall be no glorification of Texas at our wedding!!

Heh.

Speaking of which, the background music for our grand entrance at the reception will be the Trojan Marching Band playing “Fanfare” and “Tribute to Troy,” followed by “Conquest.” I fully expect all the Trojans in attendance to yell “BEAT THE LONGHORNS!” at the appropriate moment. :)

If all goes well, however, the Notre Dame Victory March and “Livin’ on a Prayer” will be played later in the evening, so hopefully the Domers in attendance won’t feel too left out…

P.P.S. That reminds me… Notre Dame fans will be interested to know that, notwithstanding her October 15 bluster, Becky proudly wore a Brady Quinn jersey to her own wedding rehearsal:

Heh. There was no particular dress code, so why not? :) For my part, I made a conscious decision to clash with her:

Hey, it is the “Irish Trojan” wedding, after all! :)

More photos here and here. And, needless to say, many, many, many more pictures of the various wedding-related festivities will follow in due course. Stay tuned over the coming days and weeks for lots of yummy photographic goodness.

How about “The Eyes of Texas”. For those that don’t appreciate it, “I’ve Been Working on the Railroad” can also be sung to the tune.
