I told you the “elimination” of the “Bridge to Nowhere” from the federal government was a Pyrrhic victory — a “Blank Check to Nowhere,” if you will.
Well, I was right. Alaska is cashing the blank check, and using it to build the bridge. (Hat tip: InstaPundit.)

Can’t we just get Stevens a bag of puppies for dinner so he’ll leave us the hell alone. Scratch that, so he’ll leave my TAX DOLLARS alone.
If he gets a bag of puppies, I’m sure he will wait until his bridge is built so he can throw them over the side.
