Never before, I think you’ll agree, has our nation been in such desperate need of cute pictures of cats.
And, of course, never before have Becky’s and my cats, Toby, Sasha and Butter, had the opportunity to demonstrate their cuteness to such a vast audience.
Thus, today’s edition of Friday catblogging will be sort of a “best of” — a selection of the very cutest cat pictures of this summer:
For those not familiar with our cats, they are, from left in the picture directly above, Toby, Sasha and Butter.
Tomorrow, Saturday dogblogging, featuring the “best of” Robbie pics. :)
UPDATE: There’s more in the Friday Ark.

Love your “cat house”!

I love CATS!!!- I have two, sometimes I wake up and see them sleeping (spooning) together, or cleaning each other’s ears. I needed a chuckle that the three cats in the cat house provided!
Thanks for the great blog!
p.s. I had read a coment a few days ago, which someone had directed to Brandon, possibly from Baton Rouge.. and I wanted to correct them, because I HATE it when poeple call me BRANDON. It happens all the time.

“Fedora. Jack Russell. Trilby. Border Collie. Flat cap. Bull terrier. Beret. Golden retriever… yes, now, your’s to own, ‘Dogs in Hats’. Each book contains two dozen photos of your favourite dogs in a variety of hats. Order now and get the free supplement, ‘Cats in Bomber Jackets’…”
(Sorry, top Reeves & Mortimer sketch. A brilliant Brit TV comedy duo of whom no American has ever heard of.)
“Cottage cheese! Cottage cheese!
Try it once and I’m sure you’ll agree
That cottage cheese, cottage cheese!
Is the only cheese guaranteed to please!
For it is the only cheese that’s pure and white
But what about Wensleydale?
Mmm, yes, and cheddery light!”
Bob Mortimer: “Ha ha, yes. We all love cottage cheese, but it has an altogether darker side, here’s Vic to tell you about it…”
Vic Reeves: “VOO-DOO!”
Cue montage of voodoo priests spoon-feeding terrified Japanese businessmen with cottage cheese, Vic limbo dancing, etc.
Bob: “Of course, cottage cheese isn’t the only cheese associated with evil.”
Vic: “Yes Bob, of course there’s stilton as well.”
Bob: “And don’t forget that Edam was heavily implicated in that whole cult Waco thing…”
Genius. I shall watch them again, and cheer myself up again.
“Who was that?”
“Mel Gibson.”
“Oh, good. Did you get that money off him for that window he smashed? Because I told him time and again not to play with his football in the back-garden.”
“No. I forgot. Hold on, he owes me five quid for a fish and chip supper and a trip to the baths!”
“Honestly, he’s terrible that Mel Gibson. You’ve got to watch him!”
“Is Fraggle Rock on yet?”
Sorry. I don’t know what came over me there.

I love catblogging!! We have two, but they don’t sleep together. They barely tolerate each other. Your pictures just beg to be captioned. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks for the catblog! My own house is ruled by four felines and your pics–all one hundred and four–were delightful relief!
Thanks for your hard work on Katrina. I’ve been on your site night and day, finding it more informative than any other source.

All the more reason to remind ourselves how precious ours are. Kinda like how we all held our loved ones a little closer after 9/11, etc.
