In describing Brendan’s “remarkably-equipped camcorder” (that’s, camcorder :) I neglected to mention that in addition to the excellent hand-made solar filter attachment, it also arrived here fitted out with a tiny refractor, heliometer & telescope :) all Duct-taped over its Night Light lens, enabling me to measure the distance to the Sun while filming the Transit. :) Turns out it’s 93 million miles. Give or take. :)
Um, can we have a regular music appreciation spot here from Joe Loy? Like, say, a live recording of him taking a shower accompanied by Handel’s WATER MUSIC or something??? ;> nonononono
