Also: UConn Coach Jim Calhoun is up for Hall of Fame induction, and there is the possibility that he “could be introduced as part of the Class of 2004 for the Basketball Hall of Fame Monday morning and then win the national championship Monday night. When was the last time you had a day at work to match that?”

2. UConn is 0-2 against that conference this year
3. In the past 19 years, the entire Big East CONFERENCE has had 7 final four appearances. Duke alone has had 10.
4. With a win against UConn, Mike Krzyzewski would tie Dean Smith for the winningest coach in the NCAA tournament in history…If Duke wins the national title, Coach K will break that mark
5. With a single steal against UConn, Chris Duhon will break the NCAA Tournament Career Steals record
6. Perhaps the most important stat of all - 75% of Duke Basketball Players graduate from Duke. 42% of UConn players ever graduate from UConn.
hahaha, duke SUCKS. Uconn didnt even need to try until the last 5 minutes to win the game last night. It was great to watch duhon and reDICK cry after the game to coach krxzcyocewkxlciowkski. This once again proves that the big east is much better than the acc.
That’s a biased interpretation of the game to say UConn didn’t need to try until the last five minutes. I could easily turn that around and say Duke didn’t need to try most of the game.
It was an ugly game. There was never really any momentum achieved either way. The Refs were horribly inconsistent on both sides, and players on both teams looked lost most of the way.
Congrats to UConn on the win - you did a great job in the last few minutes. It was the first time all game that a whole team really came together. For some reason, Duke only played 30 minutes of basketball - took the first five minutes off and the last five minutes off. That was the difference.
Personally, i think if coach K hadn’t let both our big men get three fouls in the first half, we win this game. Shav was playing the game of his life. It was a tragedy to get it cut so short on such bad foul-calling.
I personally also think that Duke made a mistake on the last possession to have Redick take the shot - Redick is a good shooter, but Duhon is our clutch guy, and the guy i want carrying us on his back when we’re in that situation.
anyway - this game is good for us in one way, and that is that it should finally end the myth of the duke-biased refereeing.
Good luck in the final game tonight. You’ll need to play better than you played against us, because GT isn’t going to have an off game tonight.

Bah, you were not at the sophomore year Christmas lighting ceremony, if you had been, discussions about endowment size would be the least of your worries. I’m not even sure Brendan heard the discussion. If he didn’t he really should not ask; I think Becky was a little tipsy at the time, so really I should just shut up, In fact I should not even post this, which I am fully empowered to do, and yet it would be funny to post it anyway. (it is the return of dark ironic humor….)
