Fabian remains at 145 mph — a strong Category Four hurricane. Here is the latest forecast track:
If nothing else, this storm should produce some nice, big waves all up and down the East Coast, in which case you can plan on some audio- and photo-posts from the Long Island shore later in the week or this weekend. :)

I’m just Shure. / When standing (or trying to) on a tsunamied LI South Shore beach, probably astride the GPS-located county line with yer right foot in Nassau & yer left in Suffolk, can you program the thing to take & upload your picture in your Weather Channel rainslicker & yer Red Sox cap with your eyes bugging out like Jim Cantore’s in his glory? (Of course you know, you’re a Crackpot. :) / Do me a favor wouldyez. Don’t go out on the Jetty. Even if it IS the Southernmost Point of Somethingorother. :)
From the Forecast Track graphic, it would appear that 8 pm Friday will, approximately, tell the tale. If Sebastian takes that illustrated rightward jog, then it’s All Good. (Oh sure it might be Farewell to Nova Scotia but hey — it’s a tough old world on the Coaltown Road anyway. :) But if it doesn’t: Mah. :0
