In December, My world easily beat its previous record for most hits in a month (1,800 in November), and on the last day of the month, it topped the 2,000 mark for the first time ever.
Hit number 2,000 occurred at 2:04 PM Pacific time on Dec. 31 when a Charter Communications user, possibly in Wisconsin, visited the site. The month’s final tally of unique hits was 2,023.
(Record-breaking hit number 1,801 occurred at 5:48 AM Pacific time on Dec. 27 when a COX High-Speed Internet user, possibly in Rhode Island, searched on Google for picture me friends connecticut photo school and found this site.)

My world’s day-by-day unique hit tally for December 2002.
The monthly average was 65 hits per day, but that’s only half the story. As seen above, there was a sudden traffic dropoff in the final third of the month. The average daily hit total from Dec. 1-20 was 78; from Dec. 21-31, it was just 42. It is unclear whether that dropoff (which has continued through the first two days of January) is a temporary trend related to the Christmas and New Year’s holidays, or whether it represents a more permanent change in the website’s traffic patterns.
