My friend Josh Rubin shares a smile with his fiancé, Joanna, during a June 23 party celebrating Josh’s graduation (a year early) from the University of Maryland, and his sister Wendy’s graduation from Newington High. Becky and I sing a duet on Elton John’s “Your Song” at a karoke bar in Clifton Hill, near Niagara Falls, Ontario, as we celebrate Becky’s 20th birthday June 14 by partying in Canada.

Three of Becky’s friends, Kristy, Vikki and Marissa, smile for the camera. For a gallery of images from my weekend in Buffalo, including more Clifton Hill pictures, my travels by train and plane, and photos of Becky’s family birthday party, click here.

My friend Liz Janelle stands in front of the Empire State Building on June 9. Aside from walking around Midtown, Liz and I saw “Rent” on Broadway and visited a giant Toys R Us. For more pictures of our day in New York, click here.

Newington High School music director Josef Treggor, retiring this year after nearly three decades, is presented with a drawing of himself after his final concert June 6. He was subsequently honored June 8 with a special, surprise concert, performed by NHS students and alumni from the 1970s, 80s, 90s and 2000s. For more photos of Mr. Treggor’s final bow, click here.

I show off my champion catch — a not-big-enough-to-keep bluegill — during Becky’s and my fishing expedition in Wethersfield on May 31. I actually caught two bluegills; Becky caught a bluegill and a bass.

Jen plays with a monkey that I got her for her birthday. She has a full-fledged collection of monkeys that I’ve given her as presents. This one is special, though — it makes noise, and you can fling it at people! (It’s called a Bungee Monkey.)
