CamryCast 2006
A live webcast of our drive from South Bend to Phoenix
1 mid-size car... 2 humans... 5 animals... 2,000 miles...

From May 17 through May 19 or 20, Becky and I are driving our Toyota Camry from Indiana (where I go to law school) to Arizona (where I'm working this summer). Crammed into the car with us: our three cats (Toby, Sasha and Butter), our greyhound (Robbie), our betta fish (Patriot), various stuffed animals, four laptops and sundry electronic equipment, and lots of miscellaneous stuff. It promises to be a unique experience, and you can watch it all live right here, thanks to the wonders of technology and the utter nerdiness of yours truly.

If all goes as planned, "CamryCam" will be a roving webcam, showing whatever seems the most interesting at the moment, whether that's the view out the front windshield, a view of an animal inside the car, or whatever. Meanwhile, you can follow our geographic progress on the GPS tracking map.

Barring technical difficulties, the images should refresh approximately every three to five minutes while we're on the road.
