The Fiesta Bowl is, for me, Schrödinger’s Game. Until I watch on TiVo (or accidentally learn the result), Boise both won & lost, as did TCU.

I’ve decided to forswear the Internet & try to avoid Fiesta Bowl news until I can watch it on TiVo tomorrow. Biggest such effort since HP7.

I wonder if Target monitors Twitter for complaints, a la @comcastcares. I’ve got a rant in the works over their mistreatment of Becky & me.

With four bowl games left in the college football season — the Fiesta Bowl tonight, the Orange Bowl tomorrow night, the GMAC Bowl Wednesday night, and the “National Championship Game” Thursday night — 24 contestants are still mathematically alive to win the 5th annual Living Room Times Bowl Pick ‘em Contest. Details after the jump.
Also, an aside: I am tentatively planning a liveblog & livechat Thursday night, during the Alabama-Texas game, using Cover It Live’s new “Open Chat Option” (which means the chat & blog will be in the same window). It’ll start at 6:00 PM Mountain Time (that’s 8pm Eastern, 5pm Pacific). Stay tuned for more on that.

In a shocking oversight, I neglected to blog anything — or tweet anything, or even post something on Facebook — about “Palindrome Day” on Saturday (01/02/2010). I have failed as a nerd!
Luckily, I’ll have a chance to make up for it in a little less than 22 months, on 11/02/2011. (Or I suppose I could move to Europe, and make up for it this February 1 — what we call 02/01/2010, they call 01/02/2010. Of course, then I’d also have to rename my “Football” blog categories…)
In the mean time, take it away, They Might Be Giants:
