If Texas loses a game, #2 BCS spot is between Cincinnati, TCU, Boise, GaTech, Florida-Alabama loser (rematch), one-loss Texas. I don’t think Pitt, Iowa, or anyone else has a chance unless Florida or Alabama loses before SEC title game. Voters will set up SEC rematch before they vault one-loss BE or B10 champ into title game.

As much as I’d love to see a non-BCS team break in, I’m really hoping that its Texas/Florida, and Texas whomps on the Gators.

Why not hope for Cincinnati/Florida, and Cincy whomps on the Gators? I understand if you think Boise or TCU might not be up to the task, but I don’t see any reason to doubt Cincinnati’s ability to pull the upset.

Texas-Florida would be just so…. boring. Especially since they both really haven’t played consistently well. It’s like they get into the title game by default, because they had high preseason rankings, not because of anything they actually accomplished. Feels very different than, say, Texas-USC in 2005.

I honestly haven’t seen Cincy play so I don’t know how good they’d be in the game.
