Duke lacrosse update

TalkLeft takes a skeptical look at the Duke lacrosse rape allegations. I don’t have the foggiest idea what or whom to believe; I’m just throwing this out there as fodder for discussion.

I’m already tired of cable news and the Blogosphere attempting to judge this with knowing virtually nothing about the facts.

What an asshole post this is Loy.

Huh? How is admitting that I don’t know the truth (and thus insulating myself against criticism that I’m promoting one viewpoint or the other, because I’m honestly not) an asshole post?

From all the things I hear in the news, no DNA match and especially the new information that the women had previously accussed 3 men of rapping her in 1996, I believe that they are innocent of rape. That doesnt mean that they are not racist jerks that may have horribly offended her, making her mad enough to lash out. If all parties were of the same race, this girl would have been laughed at by now. However, people are afraid of starting some kind of racial war, so they let her lies continue. The 3 players have already been branded guilty by alot of people. This is trash. I have been watching and all the evidence points to their favor. People are just afraid to say what they really think. I also see a form of reverse racism, vilifying the guys because they are rich and white. This is wrong and is the sort of thing that keeps our nation apart. This is definatly not a color blind trial. IT is sad for everybody, the girl who may have been raped but if not cant turn back now, and the guys who are now ruined. Only God will be able to judge this one.
