I’ll be flying from Phoenix to Chicago in the morning, and then driving back to South Bend, so updates will be sparse to nonexistent. But first, one last look at Wilma and Alpha before I go to bed:
Wilma’s core is really looking quite disorganized at this hour, and she’s having trouble getting better organized — “still not strengthening,” says the 5am EDT advisory — because of the dominance of the large outer eyewall, which is clearly shown on the (apparently indestructible) Cancun radar:
Alpha, meanwhile, is about to make landfall in the Dominican Republic, and its small circulation is expected to dissipate over the mountains there.

Did you notice that the latest projected path once again has Wilma aiming for the Cape?
Hope you thought to bring some of the SW warmth back with you. After a week in AZ, the weather here will definately feel like winter.

“Wilma and Alpha, sitting in a tree.
K-i-s-s-i-n-g.”
“First comes Wilma, then comes Alpha, the comes Beta in a baby carriage.”
